Jeff Carter Hit on Anssi Salmela
During Monday Night's matchup between the New Jersey Devils and the Philadelphia Flyers, Devils defensivemen Anssi Salmela scored a pretty goal in the second period to give the Devils, a 2-0 lead.Nearing the end of his shot, Flyers centre Jeff Carter absolutely unloaded on him with a hit that knock Salmela flat out on the ice.Salmela was taken off the ice in a strecher (as evidenced in the video), there is no current word on his status.The hit itself appeared to be legal since Carter'…
